Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. As He rode into the city, crowds gathered, laying down palm branches and praising Him as King, shouting “Hosanna!” It is a day of celebration and recognition of Jesus as the promised Savior—but it also points forward to the cross, reminding us that the same crowd that welcomed Him would soon call for His crucifixion.
Palm Sunday invites us to reflect on the kind of King Jesus is—humble, peaceful, and faithful to His mission to save. It calls us to examine our own hearts: do we truly follow Him as Lord, or only celebrate Him when it is easy?
It is both a joyful and sobering day—a reminder that Jesus came not just to be praised, but to give His life for us.
